Krabi

Information

Krabi is situated in southern Thailand on the Andaman coast, just over 800 kilometers from Bangkok and is widely regarded as one of the most attractive tourist destinations for its natural beauty and is one of Thailand's most picturesque. Krabi province covers an area of 4,707 square kilometres.

Krabi is famous for its distinctive topography. The coastline is dotted with bays, coves, outcrops of limestone mountains and offshore islands. It has pristine beaches, aquamarine waters, and is a truly spectacular tropical paradise.

Krabi International Airport makes the entire area more accessible to travellers. The flight from Bangkok takes an hour and 20 minutes.

With famous attractions such as Phi Phi Island and Pha Nga Bay and stunning beach backdrops, Krabi offers an unforgettable and spectacular natural setting. Krabi's unspoiled beaches offer a wealth of snorkelling and scuba diving.

The sea mountains that rise vertically out of Phang Nga Bay form some of Thailand's most spectacular scenery. Yachtmen and scuba divers can discover anchorage and tranquility and privacy in various locations and most islands are uninhabited, offering secluded anchorages under soaring cliffs fringed with jungle.

Koh Daeng (Red Island) is located 3km southwest of Ao Nang Beach and, for scuba divers, they can see hawksbill, green and other turtles, sea snakes, blue-spotted ribbontail stingrays and juvenile reef sharks.
